What is The Blue Jasmine?

The Blue Jasmine is a curated 9-day journey that begins in Bangkok and travels through some of Thailand’s most atmospheric regions on the way to Chiang Mai and back to Bangkok.

It blends slow train travel with immersive cultural experiences, with overnight rail segments, boutique hotel stays, and guided excursions. Designed for those who value depth over speed, the pace is intentional and unhurried.

The story behind the train

The train’s carriages, originally built in 1960s Japan, have been carefully restored. In collaboration with Jim Thompson, rich textiles and design elements were chosen to reimagine the interiors. The result brings warmth, color, and a distinct sense of Thai identity to every space. The route includes temples, rural communities, private performances, and traditional craft. It offers a perspective on Thailand that is both detailed and personal.

What makes it special?

The Blue Jasmine is not a traditional luxury train. It offers a smaller, slower experience focused on atmosphere, cultural depth, and human connection. With a maximum 37 guests, the journey remains personal and unrushed. The value lies in the curation — a route shaped by story rather than speed, moments that feel unexpected but deeply rooted, and settings chosen for their character, not just their comfort. What does the journey include?

The journey includes 9 days of travel with two nights on board and overnight in six handpicked charming small boutique hotels. All meals (except one lunch, guided excursions, and transfers are included, along with early check-in in Chiang Mai and Bangkok. Guests are supported by English and German-speaking guides, with luggage service, travel documents, and onboard amenities provided throughout.
